We had a great move with SkyBox. Paid $1150 for a five and a half hour move with a 16ft truck and 3 person crew. Much furniture, boxes, even loose items moved. Few super fragile items were moved with incredible care. Not a speck of damage. One comment is that we were surprised to be sent a crew from another borough, because we thought we were booking something hyperlocal. That being said, the sister/contracting movers they sent (Andrei and crew) were phenomenal. Strongly recommend.

My wife and I realized we had never left a review for these guys, but despite overwhelming positive reviews on here, AVOID SKYBOX MOVING AT ALL COSTS! We used them to move from Brooklyn up to the Riverdale-area and they made it the single worst moving experience we have ever had. They came out and looked through our apartment ahead of the move to determine how much stuff we had and what size truck to bring, but on the day of the move, they ended up running out of space and leaving a lot of our stuff behind because they could not actually fit it all into the truck. They then were not available to return the next day and referred us to another company we had to pay on top of the move to come the next day and get the rest of the stuff before the end of the month. And because they knew they were running out of space in the truck they took WAY LONGER to pack it up trying to jam as much in as possible. They did not bring picture boxes as promised, and left all our art up on the walls, requiring the second movers to deal with all of that the following day. They also promised a "couch doctor" would come to disassemble our couch, but on the day of our move did not have that person and just moved our couch out in one piece. Unfortunately it did not fit into the door of our new place, so then they just left it in our driveway shed. Had they actually taken it apart, it would have fit into the new place! As for the things they did move, they dented, scratched, and broke multiple times. Almost every dining room chair had new scratches and pieces of wood missing. A coffee table was entirely broken, a bistro table and chairs was also dented, the subwoofer has a dented corner, and the TV they moved was entirely broken and had to be replaced as well! We tried to contact them about all the things they broke or damaged, but received no helpful responses at all. The move took all day and they were not done until 3am after arriving early in the morning, mostly because packing up the truck took excessively long despite failing to even fit all of our things that they assessed ahead of the move. We had to pay an additional mover to complete the job, and had to replace our coffee table and TV. I wish we had gone with Piece of Cake movers, as their flat-rate quote was much lower than what SkyBox's hourly rate came out to in the end.

Although the review is a bit late, I used SkyBox last year and it was undoubtedly the most excellent moving experience ever (I've moved 8+ times). The team was extremely efficient, always showed up on time and took special care of my belongings. They were able to successfully disassemble and reassemble some pretty complicated items! All at a very reasonable price, which is notoriously difficult to find in NYC. I've recommended them to all my friends and will definitely be asking for their help again this year.

This review is late, but I used SkyBox last year and it was without a doubt the best moving experience I've ever had (I've moved 8+ times). The team was very efficient, punctual, and took great care with my items. They were able to successfully disassemble and reassemble some very tricky items! And all for a reasonable price, which can be hard to find in NYC. I've recommended them to all my friends and will be reaching out to them again for my move this year.

My parents used Skybox movers to move from a 3 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apartment on February 20, 2024. I can’t begin to tell you how amazing this team was, the guys were so professional, and so efficient. They carefully wrapped each piece of furniture so they were in perfect condition after the move. They disassembled and reassembled the bigger furniture that couldn’t be moved in one piece. And they did everything as quickly, but as carefully as possible. I’m just so impressed with the job they did moving my parents’ larger furniture, and look forward to working with Alex and the team again! From the first contact with Skybox, they coordinated and worked with scheduling our move with professionalism and care, and it was a great experience from beginning to end. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MOVING COMPANY!!
