Don’t be fooled by this company’s low prices, they are very unprofessional. The movers broke countless dishes that were marked fragile because they had the boxes mixed in with regular boxes. When I seen one of the movers move my vanity WITHOUT RAPPING it he said “don’t worry I got you” and I was HAD, broke my vanity beyond repair. They also scratched up my teenagers mirror dresser, she was in tears and then Bird was supposed to come back to fix everything and he never showed he just stopped responding to me. To add injury on top of insult the owner Tremaine knew about the situation and never called me back acted just as unprofessional and unbothered like his employees. I only went with this company on the strength of the previous owner John (Tremaine’s Father) being my loyal customer of mine and my Auntie recommended the Black Owned Business, but my advice is to spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere. Because Smith Movers shouldn’t be responsible for people’s prized possessions, they have no respect nor integrity or customer service/leadership!!! Hire at your own risk!!!!!

Smith Movers are awesome! They don't overcharge and they are very careful in moving items into narrow spaces. Bird, Wayne, and Lamont were professional, courteous, and timely. I will use Smith Movers again and I will recommend them to my friends. Also, the price was right within my budget.

Rating is 0. This company is very unprofessional. The day I was supposed to move, they called to say they were running late. I was scheduled for 9AM but they said maybe they could get to me at 11. Then I had to keep calling them to listen to excuse after excuse. My window to move in that day was 9AM-4PM. They never showed up. I had everything packed and the power was shut off at my current apartment because I was supposed to be moved into my new apartment. It was just one big disaster. I was now without power with a fridge full of food. Because I was moving into a senior citizen building, I had to wait 2 additional days before I could move in as they only do it on certain days. Unbelievable. I decided to call a reputable company and they were able to fit me in last minute. Thank God. Also, what is very telling is that no one from Smith Movers ever apologized to me for the terrible inconvenience I was put through. I guess it's just how they do business. Avoid this company at all costs.

Do not waste your money with this moving company. They are extremely unprofessional. I hired them for a moving job and they arrived 5 hours late...5.5 hours to be exact. They did not even tell me they had a job before me that ran over, I had to call them every hour to see what was going on. When they finally arrived the workers smelled of alcohol and had horrible attitudes. Two items of furniture were damaged during the move with no apology or offer to replace/pay for. The truck they used did not have a real roof...there was just tarp across the top, which means since it rained during the move all the boxes and furniture got wet. If you value customer service, time, and money I suggest that you use a different moving company. Do not be fooled by the inexpensive prices, just pay the extra money for a more experienced and professional company. I rarely leave reviews, but I felt it was necessary this time because I do not want anyone else to have to go through what my family and I went through.
