We just used them for a move from Philly to Northern California and it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. When on the phone with them for the first time, we had brought up the negative reviews and how they would double the price from the quote. We said we did not want this happening and gave them the size of our boxes and exactly what we were moving. On the day of the move, before the movers were even finished they told us that it was going to be well over $2000 (which was double our quote). We asked the guys on the phone if we had to take anything apart and he said no and was asked about packing our TV and they said they would do it. Well they did take apart our furniture and wrap our TV but this all came at an additional charge. We ended up not even bringing everything we had been quoted for to try and save on costs. Once everything was on the truck we got a "contract" that was written on an extra piece of packing paper and was told that we would be getting an official contact emailed to us. Well the official contract never came even though we called the company 5 different times and gave them 2 different email addresses. When our stuff arrived we had to pay the remaining balance and was never made aware of the fact that we couldn't use a check. They told us that it said this on the email they sent that we never got. This company was very nice on the phone before we signed the papers but as soon as the had our stuff in their possession they were extremely rude and disrespectful. Do not be fooled by their low offer to start because they will charge much more.

Avoid this company like the plague. Soft Touch Van Lines is one of those companies that will give you a “binding estimate” of a low-ball price and then jack up the price when they have all of your things. If you google “moving company scam” or “binding estimate moving company,” you’ll see what I mean.
My quote was $1089 when they gave me the binding estimate, which, legally, can’t be changed after the fact. After they had my things in their possession they jacked my price up to $1700.
Sophia is incredibly rude, unprofessional, and at times even unhinged. Communicating with her is something I wouldn’t even wish upon my worst enemies. After they were in possession of my belongings, Sophia threatened me that if I don’t pay up, my things will go into storage. My things were held hostage unless I paid up.
My things were gone for three weeks and I didn’t get an update until I started bothering them for my things. In fact, they couldn’t even give any sort of update on how much I needed to pay until the driver arrived, and when he arrived I got the new amount of $1700. The company will also give you excuse after excuse because they simply don’t know where your things are. Sophia will transfer you to David, and then David will transfer you to Rachel. They gave me the run-around for weeks before I heard anything about my possessions.
When I finally got my things after paying up their inflated price, my things arrived damaged and a very important signed poster of mine had water damage and had been tampered with. My sealed boxes were also opened.
Do not make the same mistake I did. Do not hire these guys for your next move, unless you want to be taken advantage of and very disappointed.

Find another moving company Please I Beg You!!! You Will Regret using this company. I was told that my Out-Of-State move would be one rate, and I agreed. Never once they told me it was an “estimate” I also was told because they had another moving job in that same state, this was the best price.
My furniture was disassembled when it didn't have to be, parts were lost, & missing. They took Over two weeks to deliver my belongings, when they had said 4-6 days.
Each time I called the office to ask for an update, the young lady (Receptionists) was extremely rude. And they kept giving me the run around. I finally spoke with a manager. That said they were " trying to contact me." Now, Why Wouldn't I Not Answer My Phone When I'm Waiting on All my belongings From Another State!?!?! Also telling me that “why I didn’t call before” when I had a whole week calling.
Before they arrive, I was told I had to pay another almost $500! OMG!!! After already paying for the 70% upfront.
Please go with Another Moving Company. They're Not Worth The Headache!!!

I felt that she was genuine, attentive and empathetic about my situation, she wasn’t just trying to get my business but wanted to make it work for me and make it seamless and efficient possible with minimal challenges, drama, and frustration.

From the initial phone call, leading up to days before the pick-up, to the hour after the pickup throughout post-delivery follow-up and obtaining customer feedback, Sophia has executed true commitment to what she conveyed in our initial phone call— upholding their customers and that they get experience with efficacy and quality customer service. Her constant professionalism and dedication to stay on top of things, communicating with me along with the pickup team and delivery crew throughout the entire process. I appreciate that she continues to show empathy in our communications and when I express areas and points of concern, she made me feel at ease while addressing it with the proper internal channels and shared appropriate updates.
I’m also appreciative of the delivery crew assigned to my move, they were highly communicative, responsive and professional from the time they updated me of ETA to thoughtfully placing the last item from my move inventory list.
Indeed, it was Sophia’s dedication as a genuine reflection of the company and commitment to execute a successful delivery, that my experience with Soft Touch Van Line was agreeably commendatory.

Do your self a favor and find someone else. The were expensive- charge you once they put your furniture on their truck ,they were late and lost one of my love seats and bed rails. The only reason that there are any good reviews is that they will give you a discount for a good review. But, they are not good and don't care. Find another mover.
Their response is laughable. They would have you believe that I didn't notice and report that i was missing my bed rails and a couch. More over, their insurance is a scam. It's based on weight not value. After the horrible experience, there is now way I was going to waste more time for the 60 dollars I would get for the lost couch and bed rails. As I stated, find another mover.
