My family used Sonny’s to move many of my mom’s favorite furniture pieces from her lifelong home to an assisted center in New Jersey. The entire process went seamlessly and I felt that from the owner down to every employee treated it as if they were moving their own family. The price was extremely fair, quality of work excellent and everyone was so pleasant and helpful. I’m so pleased we chose Sonny’s for this move and will be using them again in the future. I can’t say enough good about this company! They took the greatest of care with my belongings, they were prompt, they were polite and kind and went the extra mile! I had such a great experience having them move my belongings to my new residence. I wholeheartedly recommend them. John and Johnny and Marcus and Tim were the team that moved me, and I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting more of their guys, but this is a great group! I am so glad I chose Sonny’s transfer and moving company.

I had Sonny’s Transfer move me from Cumberland MD to PA. They moved my daughter several years ago and we were both very impressed with their service so I hired them for this move to PA. This is a decision I deeply regret! Although they were friendly, they arrived late to pack up my belongings. They were scheduled to arrive in PA at 10 AM and they did not arrive until 11PM! I called four times that day and each time I was told they were just leaving Cumberland! Why would they not tell me the truth? It was after 1AM when they finally got everything unloaded. But, I gave them $100 cash bonus anyway because of the sob story they used to excuse their late arrival. Which, by the way, did not explain why they felt the need to lie about their departure time from Cumberland! I found much of my furniture to have deep scratches and some very expensive and/or sentimental wooden pieces have larges areas splintered off the edges. I am noticing, as time goes by, more and more items that are missing! I spoke to John about 10 days after the move ( I waited until most items were unpacked before calling) and he was very defensive. I sent him pictures of the damaged furniture and he engaged in a bitter conversation via text, denying they could have done such damage, questioning my timing of the complaint and blaspheming my character. He even told me that I didn’t give them $100 bonus! I see accounts of both good and bad experiences posted here. I personally have had both so I guess its the luck if the draw as to which you will get when you hire this company! My recommendation is to be prepared for the worst!

This is one AWESOME company! They responded immediately to my call. Gave me good, solid advice and a date to move. They showed up, absolutely on time, and worked competently, professionally, and took very good care of my furniture. On top of that, they were friendly, kind, and understanding. They helped me with what I knew was an impossible job for one woman, and they did it like they were my best friends and family. The value of what they did for me could never be covered with money, but the fee was MORE than reasonable! I highly recommend Sonny's Transfer, and don't believe a single word in any negative review! Don't you either, call them and see for yourself. Sonny's Transfer has been an amazing experience, and if you need help moving, they are the ones to call! Thanks Sonny's!!

My father scheduled a move out day 4 weeks out. The day of his move, they told him they were running late and would reach back out at noon. Noon came and went and after texting and calling several times with no answer, he was told it would be late that evening. My dad informed them if he wasn't out by that day he would lose his security deposit. After waiting around all day, he was then told it would be after midnight before they could get there or he could reschedule for 6:30 am. That morning he was told it was going to instead be 8:30. My dad missed appointments that morning just in case they showed up. After no call to say they wouldn't be there at 8:30, they finally showed up a little after 10. You don't treat customers like this. Beware.
