REMAX - BEWARE OF Dorothy Wittrig (Dori) - Sales Agent -FOUNTAIN HILLS LOCATION Deceptive practices, harassed my husband and slandered me when we terminated contract. Further harassment: Dorothy grabbed my husband’s phone and would not let go while I was on the phone. Thankfully he held on to his phone. First of all after hiring Dorothy, she Dorothy did not reveal any lawsuit against REMAX to us, specifically anti-trust major lawsuit regarding deceptive practices and unreasonable and high commission rates. When confronted with this information, Dorothy denied it and stated she had discussed with us, but who in their right mind would discuss deceptive real estate practices, which clearly she did not. When we hired Dorothy she presented us with a contract full of typos and also a higher commission rate than was verbally agreed upon. We had agreed upon 5% but then she put 5.5% on our agreement. She constantly gave us incorrect information and wanted us to lower our selling price after two weeks on the market. She stated during this meeting that we were on the market for 30 days and submitted a market analysis reflecting a lower price for our house on the market without our consent. After she received an email that we were terminating the owner/broker agreement, she physically came knocking on our door without warning. She screamed at my husband and slandered me while I was on the phone, not physically there. I was on the phone and asked her to leave and to return the key to my husband which she refused to do until I asked her three times. I was ready to call the sheriff, but she finally left our home. She has fabricated lies through the entire process of being our agent. I am warning everyone to not use her services and also that in July 2024 the law has been passed that agents, brokers, can no longer charge commissions based on MLS of 5-6 percent. Read about this lawsuit on line that will remove all deceptive brokers and agents from harming the general public and making the home selling process a nightmare. Seller and buyers will now have an opportunity to find agencies that will charge hourly or flat fee instead of stealing your hard earned money. I am also filing an ethics violation against Dorothy Wittrig.
