A relative close to me purchased a vehicle from Steele Auto in Dartmouth Nova Scotia and it has been the worst experience of his life. He purchased a 2020 Subaru Impreza and was told the car was in great working condition, had a fresh MVI and inspection sticker on it and it was ready to drive off the lot. Upon first driving the vehicle home to NB 3 hours away, he immediately noticed some issues with it. The car shakes on the highway, had body damage he was not informed about, a broken visor, one door that didn’t shut properly. Then fast forward another 8 days and there is now smoke coming from the hood of the car, the engine light is on, and he is unable to drive this vehicle. After taking the car to Subaru, he was told that there is $10,500 worth of repairs that this car needs. It needs both front and rear brakes (which is part of an MVI, so the fresh inspection was a lie), it may need engine work done to it, the car has major issues with wiring throughout it, along with several other thousands of dollars worth of issues. Jerritt from this company in particular is TERRIBLE to deal with. Very rude, dismissive, claims he just simply works there and knows nothing about cars (why work for a car dealership then), and just wanted us off the phone when we proceeded to make phone calls with our concerns. Steele Auto won’t offer my family member a refund, so he may be out close to $20,000 that he paid for this hunk of junk, along with over $10,000 worth of repairs that this car needs. Disappointed is an understatement and this will likely end up in court. If I have any advice, save yourself some time, money, and your sanity, and DO NOT buy a car from these con artists.

We purchased a very nice 2017 Buick Enclave at Steel Chevrolet in August 2023. Could not have been treated better! Although the car probably would have passed MVI, they put all new tires and brakes on the car. Also gave us a great deal on undercoat and detail/protectant package. The air conditioner wasn't blowing cold air so they recharged the unit. The recharge lasted for the remainder of the season but the following year was blowing warm air again. We went back to Steel and they took the car in and replaced the AC hoses and the AC evaporator, FREE of CHARGE! COLD AIR GALORE! Need I say more? Ron and Joanne Evely Dartmouth

I have had a simply excellent experience with these guys. After sending an email on their website I was followed up with the very next morning. I worked with Kaylee McGregor on the financing and she was absolutely excellent. Extremely prompt and knowledgeable. I have been approved for financing and will be picking out a car within the next couple of days. Thank you Steele Auto Group.

I'm still waiting for my call back, from your complaint department. I Purchased a brand new Chevy Traverse in Amherst and your business manager today at that location is very arrogant . Steel auto group may not of been the owner of dealership at the time, but since you've taken over dealership, someone should care about customer service and repeated business. At this time, I give you a FAIL

Ok so if you would have asked me last week what my very Least favourite shopping excursion would be, I would have �% said buying a vehicle. I Loathe vehicle shopping( or do I?)!!! I have found it to be super overwhelming and stressful and by the end I feel like just crawling under a table and tossing my credit card at anyone who’s still talking. Well this week at Steele on Portland street my experience changed 100 percent. (And it wasn’t easy) my order was tall and tailored to an extremely busy family of five, small business owners, luxury lovers, German shepherd parents and people who need all their needs met!. Well we walked in not quite sure what we wanted and after a casual afternoon Mark Landry of Steele had both my husband and I on board and actually excited about our purchase. And there was no cheese � or fluff, just facts, honestly and a keen ear to hear our needs. Once the vehicle was firmed the whole Steele team came together and made the process a breeze. Mark was so technologically advanced but also balanced with humour, he made sure we had the Knowledge we needed behind this investment it ended up being a pleasure.
