Payment is through the fuel card and you gotta mess with that to even get your money, and it doesn't always agree. Insurance is either the whole package or nothing. If your a trainee it's 630 a week if your a driver it's 50-63 cent a mile if you want their lease plan it's 4k upfront with a 3 year commitment at 1.16 a mile sound shady sound cheap sound like they getting rich off your work don't it. They have a high turnover rate and their safety department is run by a bunch of jerks who look for anything to take your money away. It's a bad company stay far away. Always remember they promote with AVG not guarantee

I went through the stevens driver training school and have been employed by stevens for almost a year now, and will give my honest assessment. The stevens driver school is a top notch training program, and one of the best i have seen! They do their absolute best to make sure you pass, but they won't do the work for you. You have to do your part. They do a great job explaining the process and working you through the paperwork. My driver trainers did a great job of training me, they were friendly and took their time teaching me the way out here otr driving. As far as driving otr for stevens, I've enjoyed it, the 3 month grad phase was a little rough due to never being able to get ahold of my dm's, but once i figured out I didn't have to only talk to my dm i breezed through grad phase. Once i advanced to regular fleet its been great, my dm's have absolutely taken care of me and helped every way they can. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Stevens Transport this past year, has it been easy? No, there are days that suck, there has been weeks that sucked due to low freight. But Stevens has always had my back and taken care of me. I do my absolute best for them and they have done their best for me. They do a great job of taking care of their drivers, trucks, and trailers! As far as the equipment goes if you notice an issue, call it in and they will get it fixed asap which I definitely appreciate!! They are great about paying layover, detention, and breakdown or decelerated freight pay! I highly recommend going through their school and working for Stevens Transport!! Don't come in though expecting it to be easy, most people in my class didn't make it through due to various issues. But as long as you follow the rules, and do your best, you'll be alright! I have absolutely loved working for this company and would give them more than 5 stars if i could!

Not a bad company to get your cdl through and get experience. My experience here is wasn’t the greatest as I was a lease contractor and got 2 trucks back to back with issues. My dm was awesome though he handled any problems that arose and even offered to find a resolution to have me stay but in the end there isn’t any resolution when your constantly going in the hole. As a driver though we really don’t complain until it’s too late to fix something then we just return the truck and move on. If I could do it all over I would have just stayed company and ask if they could make an exception on me taking the truck home since that was the only reason I became contractor. The secured location was over 3 hours from my house.

I don't have a driving review to post but an observation. With parking space at a premium out here someone should consider reminding this driver about that very issue. Liberal, KS in the Loves parking lot. Theres no way to fit my bobtail in the space next to this.. One might argue that the truck next to them forced them to park like this but I really doubt it.

I started there September 2008 and worked with them until around 2014 ish. I'm glad I did they gave me plenty of opportunity to get better at the trade along with support when I needed it. When I started I was just a company driver and went through their whole program. From company driver to a two time owner (2150) (2227). I would recommend them if your serious about trucking. You'll learn a lot.
