Gravel hauler had tarp open and rocks were flying out and broke my windshield. Driver wouldn't stop. Called the company and they never called me back

I work for them for 4.5 years and they used to be top-notch. About 8 months into 2023 they started going downhill. They're not an OTR company anymore. They're just local and regional now. Select office personnel will stab you in the back and throw you under the bus any chance they get. If they will do it to someone who used to be one of their top OTR drivers then they'll do it to you. It's a real shame they used to have a good reputation now they're just another chip off the block like all these other good buddy companies. Incompetent and lack of integrity sums it up. Don't say you weren't warned.

I had applied to this company twice. When they called me regarding my second application they stated that this was the last time they would consider me as an employee because I didn’t show up for orientation the last time I was considered. I wasn’t even aware of that. I got no email from them regarding the first orientation. So I ran with it anyway and picked a job driving gravel train. I needed to be trained. They said in orientation that I needed to show up for work at 6am to start training. I agreed. 6am turned out to be 02:30. I told them there was -NO- way I was getting up at 01:30 in the morning for training then working till 5:00pm. I was no like longer considered for their company. So that was the 1 and only time I was able to apply. I guess I’d say they are VERY DISORGANIZED to say the least. To bad because I’m a great person with drive. Be careful

My wife, toddler, and I were driving home just now on 115, the 5th in a line of cars on a two-lane portion, and ended up getting tailgated by a Stone truck hauling two trailers. The driver then flashed his lights at us, which was a confusingly aggressive choice, because, again, we were stuck in a line of cars. Two Stone trucks eventually passed us but not until the third time a passing lane appeared and almost cut us off at one point in the process. They went a little ways ahead and then appeared to tailgate the car in front of us. I empathize with drivers, having to transport on the day after Thanksgiving, but I think we'd all like to make it home without getting vehicular manslaughter'd.

I grew up with Stone Transport. I watched them grow to the largest gravel train company as I grew up. They are great people to work with and talk to. My goal is to work for them and be one of the best driver I can be for them. All I wanted to do as a kid is to grow up and work for Stone Transport
