Sun West Moving Info | Compare Moving Quotes

We hired Sun West through Uhaul to pack our truck. We called every day a week prior to our move and received their voice-mail multiple times; when we did finally get a hold of someone they'd tell us they'd call back when they were done with their job and we never received a call back. We finally got to have a conversation three days before our move and he confirmed our time (10am) and said he'd call back for more details but never did. On the day of our move when no one showed at 10 we called and they stated they went to a different job because we never confirmed our move. They ended up coming two hours later which put the majority of our final day cleaning behind. 3 hours into our 14 hour trip we checked on our belongings as they were packed haphazardly without consideration to fragile items. We have just unpacked half of our truck (which we had planned on avoiding as my spouse had back surgery at the beginning of this year) we've already tallied multiple damages of our belongings. Avoid at all cost.

DO NOT USE!!!!! They damaged my couch after I specifically OFFERED to wrap it myself. They said they would, they didn't. They then proceeded to bang the couch up against every railing, wall, etc they could find tearing the fabric and causing stains. One of the mover's sweaty headprints was all over the pillow. I then asked for their boss' information to contact regarding damages. Called the boss, was told "I'm in the field and don't have time to speak with you." Okay, your movers will be here for another hour and a half. I will wait to pay until I hear back from you. He said okay! Then called his movers and told them not to lift another thing until I paid them. I refused and they left. They were barely moving when they actually were there. I am sure they were trying to make the job last longer to try to charge me for more hours. They were also over an hour late. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.

Definitely the worst moving company I've ever used. The 2 gentleman were not on time and moved slowly. I only booked for 2 hours and was told anything after I would just be charged extra. But NOPE as soon as the 2 hours was up the man told me " our time is up and we have to go there are "some" boxes left and happy New year". Me and my dad had to finish unloading the truck with 40 boxes!!! And all they had to do was unload the truck! They had a dolly but didn't stack boxes on them to take to the 2nd floor instead they brought one box at a time. Will not be using them again.

They were 30 minutes late. When I was called the day before to confirm I was told to get the rental truck and everything else for professional move would be provided. When he got to loading the TV's he didn't have a furniture pads so I had to use my blankets, my tape to take them down, Then I had to go to Walmart to buy rope for them to strap everything down in the truck and he had to use my Dolly to load the containers and boxes. My daughter and I had moved everything downstairs all boxes and containers the only thing upstairs was the twin bed frame, mattress set, 3 TV's, 3 Small book shelves, and 3 Small storage Containers. Downstairs there was about 40 containers and about 40 boxes, 1 92" tv on stand, washer/dryer And it took 2 whole hours To load the Truck. They didn't have to go from Room to Room getting items I put all containers and boxes downstairs in the kitchen area with tv, and washer/ dryer And I'll bedding and TV's were up stairs in the game Room that's it. Then when we got to the new location They loaded everything in the garage the only thing they brought upstairs was 2 sectionals, My 92" TV, the twin bed mattress set, Washer and dryer that's it. They damaged my 92" tv, they damaged another TV, they Damage the corner of my couch, broke 2 bookshelves, and broke the top edge off of a Dresser, And then while moving the few things upstairs they damaged the walls and chipped paint at edge of the upstairs and also damage the garage entry door. I know all moving companies or different but I did not even have them moving my complete house they moved parts and it still took 4 hours when I had a moving company that moved my entire house in less than 3 hours With 2 movers. And in all honesty with everything damaged I think I should have a total refund Because the damage to the garage door the damage to the interior of the stairs I have to pay for. Not counting all of my personal belonging that were damaged also.

The two gentlemen that helped us move were on time (wow!) friendly, professional, fast, and treated our belongings with care. They also packed the truck like a couple of Tetris Masters. Very happy and feel lucky that we got these two guys. Lastly, the move was very affordable.
