I’m writing my review as a former employee. Frank, the owner of Suncoast Moving, lacks professionalism, empathy, and understanding of the Florida Labor Laws. I have a chronic illness, which was discussed with Frank and another employee upon hire. Fast forward to 2 months after starting, I had a medical emergency which required surgery. Upon giving notice to Frank of the surgery, he assured me I would have my job to return to, but he would have to bring in someone to fill my position while I was gone as I was the only person setting appointments for Frank(the phones rang less than 10 times a week with people actually looking to schedule. The other jobs were acquired by cold calling.) I understood, and stayed in communication with a coworker as directed by Frank during a meeting when he told me anything attendance related, I report to my coworker. There were multiple occasions where Frank called me himself while I was gone for surgery, however when I returned from surgery my belongings were cleared from my desk. I was told by Mike, the creep in accounting, to wait for Frank to return to the office because Frank wanted to talk to me. I waited 2 hours and provided a doctors note upon return for Frank to not accept my doctors note, and go on a tangent demanding that doctors provide a note with the return date prior to having surgery. He also insinuated that I did not return any communications from any employee of Suncoast while I was away, even though he spoke with me multiple times, and I stayed in constant contact with my coworker. Frank got argumentative and started raising his voice instead of letting my show proof (which he didn’t need, he knows he spoke with me he’s just a narcissist). I told him that’s not correct, and that I had to wait for doctors clearance which I didn’t have based on complications from surgery, and I stayed in contact. He called me argumentative and fired me saying “you didn’t disclose that you have a disability on your application. florida is a right to work state, I can fire you for whatever reason I want. Medical disability or not” However Frank didn’t know that I was recording the entire interaction. Not only does he discriminate against disabilities, I’ve witnessed racism from Frank on numerous occasions. The movers for the company during my employment were all black, and all of the office staff were white. The only Spanish employee was fired upon my hire. Frank prides himself on the fact that he owns a business and thinks his policies override the law, but all he’s doing is scamming his customers and barely keeping afloat. I’ve seen him add random charges to customers invoices after a move, that weren’t discussed with the customer, and demand they pay or withholds their belongings. I’ve noticed this seems to be when his jobs are coming in slowly. He is disgusting and derogatory in his communications with customers, which I’ve witnessed on numerous occasions. He uses manipulation tactics such as “I’ve been in business for 20-40 years (he can never get the number right) for a reason” however his phones not ringing and the customers he does service always seem to call back with a pricing issue. His software in the office is EXTREMELY outdated, and even service technicians used to complain to us as employees about how cheap Frank is. Frank lacks basic intelligence, especially regarding business management. See his response to previous reviews, and how he refers to his 5 star “AAA” review (his Better Business Bureau 5 star review that he obtained with a small payment of less than $100- I mean really Frank, proofreading and proper grammar go a long way.) TRUST THE GOOGLE REVIEWS To add to that, Frank would hold weekly meetings with the office employees, where he mostly just went on a tangent about his bad reviews and how it’s not true, and how he’s a good boss because he brings us donuts and tells (dreadful) jokes. Be extremely careful in choosing who you choose to move with, and where you spend your hard earned money.

We had part of our household packed and stored by Suncoast Moving & Storage since the place we moved to was quite smaller. They came and packed our framed pictures and glass tables and our big pool table (we had someone disassemble it) as well as leather sofas and exercise equipment. That was almost 8 years ago. The exercise equipment we got out and delivered after a short time and the rest stayed with Suncoast. Finally after losing our house in the hurricane we found a place again where we also had space for our stored furniture. I emailed Suncoast and we were able to schedule the delivery very quickly. The furniture arrived at the time we scheduled and nothing was missing or broken (I had a list of my inventory from back than). Everything was clean, dry and had no smell! The delivery drivers were very helpful, friendly and very attentive to our belongings and our home. I would recommend Suncoast for any moving and/or storage needs. Very professional, clean and friendly!

Frank and Chong are excellent bosses. I appreciate the clarity they provide for tasks. They are very detailed oriented and do a great job at helping me build my skill set. They always try to resolve issues quickly and are willing to help where they can. They also provide feedback and recognize my achievements and encourage me to accomplish more. I enjoy working at Suncoast Moving and Storage. Thanks Frank and Chong for all you do!

I used them for my move from FL to NY in 2021 and I oh so regret it. Even after 17 months my claim is not settled, they still have my ceramic water fountain in their warehouse in Florida (which they admitted themselves while at the same time saying every single item arrived here). None of my mattresses was wrapped, boxes or otherwise protected so they arrived here dirty and disgusting. Same with the bed frames. The chest drawers had never been emptied and all the drawers got distorted from the weight in them while being moved. Items were stuffed into the clothes boxes wrinkling all of the clothes so they had all to be washed or dry cleaned. A custom made shelf from Germany arrived broken by the brute force of weight, not only had they not wrapped it but they had put so many heavy boxes and items on top that it broke in half. Two other shelves have punctures in them. All of these damages are not accidental, they are from pure neglect, disregard and brute force, which a local cabinet maker attested to. Several items are missing. They claim everything arrived but no one checked the boxes/items off the list as they were being offloaded. Plus they admitted that they have my water fountain in their warehouse so they are contradicting themselves. The big screen tv had been appropriately placed into a big tv box - and then the movers put clunky metal items in it too without any protection whatsoever making it a miracle that the tv didn’t get damaged. It’s pathetic, no joke. The reason I had hired them was that Frank is German and I’m from Germany and thought he’d maintained the good German qualities of reliability and integrity. Big fat mistake. This one’s is going to hire a lawyer now.

How is this place still in business? What is wrong with Atlas Van Lines continuing their relationship with this place? The Owner/Manager, Frank, is awful to people. He will talk to you like you’re trash even when you’re spending thousands and moving across States… He doesn’t care and for some odd reason…folks will still do business with them even after seeing some terrible Google reviews, BBB complaints, etc. I should’ve done my research prior. Terrible moving experience. Problems galore. Do not use them! You will regret it. This is my consumer notice from personal experience. You’re welcome.
