BEWARE! Do not use this company! Sunflower Moving and Storage doing business in Kansas City based out of Chicago, please don’t respond that i have you mixed up with the Florida company. Very nice at first them one they have you watch out!! Derrick was very responsive until I placed a deposit then he would not return may calls. Quoted 5-6k ended up costing almost 15k and threatened to keep my stuff if I didn’t pay the balance in CASH on delivery. Loaders arrived and damaged many items, loaded my household goods and strapped my mattresses on the outside of the truck. Sam the loader warned me to keep track of my paperwork as I would need to file a claim because everyone does. (Predicted problems) Before the truck arrived Elizebeth told me that if they could not get the truck my my new address there would be a $1500 shuttle fee. Was told it would deliver on A semi and it showed up on a smaller truck, a shuttle and guess what? I had to pay the extra $1500, this was planned from the beginning. Many, many damaged and when the drivers finished, guess what, lots of my possessions were missing. I called Elizabeth and she said let me check and she said oh I guess they missed a lot of items so we will send them out on another truck a week later, second truck arrived, my possessions were jammed in a truck with another delivery, and many more damages. Once the truck was unloaded we discovered that 16 boxes were missing, I called Elizabeth and she said sorry you will have to file a claim. 6 months later and refiling with the arbitrator we received $500. What a joke. Who knows what was in the boxes. 4 metal shelves damaged and moved hid the damages. Mattress cut, the list goes on and on. Master bedroom bed broken, see photos Paid $60 yo pack TV they put in in a wardrobe box, and of course ot was damaged. We trusted what we thought was a local company from Kansas City, which it is not, some joker out of Chicago owns it, asked to talked to him and was told by Elizabeth that he does not talk to customers. Next step is filing a lawsuit, looking for others to join in. This company needs to be shut down, 3.8 stars is a lie, not possible. Stay clear of this company, I sure wish we had. We have moved many times with many companies and this is by far the very worst. Would be a negative 10 review.

I am awarding them 2 stars only because the 2 gentleman that came and retrieved my items did an incredible job of loading, explaining the process and extra fees due to additional packing and extra stairs. However never in my life would I think that packing my own things would get my boxes torn, ripped and unsecured to be delivered as you see pictured. Its was like my things were literally thrown from one place to another. I am disappointed in the communication, customer service, and transparency with this company. They extended my due date without true cause and when I questioned them about it, I didn’t get a response just a random person calling me blowing up my phone. This ended up being the driver, telling me they would be on their way for them to show up 5 1/2 hours late. I also had to keep following 30-45 minutes after the communicated arrival time. If you are using them to move from KS to FL my opinion is do not. I will not say that they ruined my move however they definitely had a negative impact on it.

They performed a truly outstanding job; I would utilize them without thinking twice. Amazing customer service! Handled my furniture and boxes with care. Couldn’t ask for more attentive and kind movers. They listened to me when I had specific instructions on certain belongings and rooms I specified when loading/unloading. I’m particular. They really helped me out and moved quickly, efficient to save me time and stay within the quoted time I paid for to not go over. Drove a better route than what I had planned and better input on unloading and how the set up certain spaces. They were clean and didn’t leave behind anything at the other residence, were respectful, and just awesome. I’m going to reach out to the again on my next move and can’t believe I’ve ever moved without using movers! Sunflower moving and storage deserves all the good reviews they’ve received and I’m unsure what happened with the other reviews, that’s unfortunate but doesn’t seem to be the norm. Definitely not in my case. Thanks Sunflower!

Beware. Good price but not what it seems. I used them to move expensive furniture from KS to CA. They packed the items and then rent space from another freight company so your items will get moved around from truck to warehouse to freight. The problem is the your items will be jammed in an 18 wheeler and your items will be delivered by another company. My items where damaged. I wish I didn’t use them. It’s too risky. I wish I knew how this company worked, that’s why I’m writing this review. Best to use a PODS or one moving company door to door.

Please HELP!! There are more animals out there in need than anyone knows or understands. Please stand behind those that RESCUE, save and place k to a good home!! They are truly the bomb. Please HELP EVERYTHING THEY DO!! Please help them Help the animals in need. Thank you!!
