I just completed an out of state move with Terry’s Moving & Storage from California to Texas. It included having to store all of my furniture ahead of the move in date. It was seamlesss. Very helpful. Highly recommend this company.

Terry Moving saved our move! To spare you the details and to put it simply. We hired a moving broker which ended up costing us more money and time than we had. Terry’s came to our house, last minute (two days before our move), did a full inventory, gave us a great rate and had a truck with a crew on the day we needed to move. The crew was polite, clean and considerate of the stresses of moving (wife and I have three young kids). We got the truck loaded and headed out. We received updates of the truck and arrival time. No surprises and accurate info! The truck arrived and the crew got to work. Nothing was broken or missing and the crew was intentional on making good time. They worked their butts off and did so with integrity. I can’t recommend Terry’s enough. Do not waste your time on other companies. Moving is hard enough and Terry’s made the move easier and even enjoyable. Unreal saying that about moving but it’s true. Thank you Mark Terry, Steve the driver and the whole crew. TL;DR - AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I was naive, didn't know what to expect and your experience might be different, but mine was awful, strongly recommend avoiding this company in particular and movers in general. A 3 mile move of a 2 bedroom apartment across town cost $1500. Over the phone I was quoted 3 guys for 3 hours at $195/hour. I paid them $950 or something close to that off the top. During that call I said, I've never hired movers before. Nobody explained how it worked, gave advice or was decent about it. They were in it to take our money. Movers arrived at the end of their arrival window, apologized and said the line for gas was long. I assumed in good faith that our start time was when they got to my home. No. Little did I know they started charging me for time "when the truck left the lot" so I paid $195 for that hour. So the "I'm sorry was supposed to make me feel better about the $195. The movers were friendly, chatty and insisted on "reboxing" a lot of our smaller boxes into larger boxes (again a time eating tactic) before putting them on the truck. 3 guys took from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to move us from a 1st floor 2 bedroom to a 2nd floor 2 bedroom. They were late, took a half hour lunch, and got lost on the 3 mile drive for over 20 minutes. During the move one of the guys casually mentioned his parole officer. Your *PAROLE* officer?!?! Cool, criminals know where I live and what stuff I have. Cool cool. 👌🏼👌🏼👍🏻👍🏻 I assumed that when they went over their 3 hour quote, they were doing his a good turn and finishing. Nope. After all of it was done, 3 hulking sweaty men stood in my kitchen and actively shook me down for another $500. I pushed back and got death stared at by their leader. He explained that I owed them for their getting gas time and their lunch time and their getting lost time. I caved and paid it, because I was exhausted and wanted them gone. I hated my new home because it's where this company and its employees violated me. I've been depressed and scared and never really settled in. People seem to rave about this company, but if they see you as a mark, they'll take advantage.

We hired Terry Moving and Storage based on a referral from a co-worker and we were not disappointed. Due to the weather forecast, Mark sent a large crew to pack and take to storage our entire home in one day! The crew was friendly, curteous and total professionals. When it came time to move into our new home in another state, the crew was equally as great as the first. Not a single item was lost or broken. I highly recommend Terry Moving and Storage and would not hesitate to hire them again.
