Phone number on website didn’t work. Email on website was returned as undeliverable. Had to book to even make contact and was called on a number not listed on the website. Spoke with Rashad, paid the deposit and booked my move. 3am morning of move received a text asking to switch to the next day due to rain. Unable to reschedule we agreed to wait until rain ended a 2 hours after original start time. No one showed up at agreed time, took several attempts to get Rashad on the phone, said U-Haul had to get them a new truck due to it having been missing a part, that someone from his team should already be at my location - they were not - and that he would be there shortly. An hour later, still no one had shown up and now Rashad’s number is going straight to voicemail and not answering any texts. No communication, no update, no showed.

TL;DR - sketchy website. No showed. Customer service is trash. This company came highly recommended by a coworker I trust, which is why I'm so surprised how poorly all of this unfolded. Several days prior, I filled out the form to book for Wednesday during the day. Estimate looked reasonable. They had me enter my card details on their portal to lock in the date, and all 3 cards immediately came back as "invalid" despite them working everywhere else. That was red flag number 1. They said they'd just collect the total amount the day of, and we ended the call. The day before, I get a text message confirming the appointment with a 1-hour arrival window for 9am-10am. I responded in the affirmative, but got no response back. That was red flag number 2. The day of, no one showed up during the estimated arrival window. After almost an hour had passed with neither truck nor correspondence, I called the main number. Multiple times actually. Spoke to 3 or 4 different people who all said they couldn't get in touch with their office manager for my location. Every one of them said they'd call me back. None of them did. They also refused to give me the contact of any sort of manager or supervisor. And it looks like, according to other reviews, I'm not the first person they've no-showed! I was going on the recommendation of someone I trusted, so I didn't even think to. My bad for not checking first. We specifically scheduled it for Wednesday because I had a surgery scheduled for Thursday, and carpet replacement on Friday (which is the reason we needed all the stuff off the carpet before then). We took PTO to be available. For what? So how does it work, guys? Do you service 20 people and then no-show 1? Seems like a really weird business model. In any case, I went with another company whose communication was a little more on point, despite a slightly higher price.

Awesome moving experience. These were the most professional, courteous, hard working movers I've ever dealt with. They were kind and respectful, both to us and our belongings. The final price even came in lower than the estimate as they worked so efficiently. Highly recommend and will use again! Thank you Muscle Movers 612 for making what was a very hard move for us a very pleasurable experience!
