We had an excellent experience yesterday with delivery of a leather couch and chair. The company's communications about logistics were accurate and timely. The two delivery men were on time, courteous, cheerful and knowledgeable. It could not have gone more smoothly.

We bought a couch from Hamilton's and they use Tobin for delivery of their products, which is furniture. I had asked them the day before delivery if the couch I purchased was one complete piece of furniture, as I had a basement location for the item and knew it would not be possible to deliver it to the room I wanted it. Chronology of how the delivery is as follows: 6 July - Tobin calls to confirm delivery and I ask if the couch is one piece, or three pieces, as the sales person told me. Tobin man says he would check and if it was one piece, he would call me back per my request. No such call was ever made to me, so I was lead to assume the couch was three pieces and we were good to go for delivery and assembly of the three pieces of a sectional couch. 7 July - Two delivery guys come to the house on time with the couch, one who speak English with such a heavy Nigerian Accent he was almost impossible to understand. I do not say this lightly as I worked for the State Department for 29 years and have worked with all kinds of people with accents. This man barely spoke English. 7 July - delivery guy says the couch is one piece and cannot get it down my stairs, but another unidentified company can come to take the couch apart and put it together. For a fee. To be clear the delivery and assembly charge were paid when I purchased the couch at Hamilton on 4 July 2017. At this point my wife tells me what the delivery guy is saying and asks what company he works for. The man refuses to identify his company and tells us to call Hamilton. We do not do this and I call Tobin for assistance. 7 JUly - I call Tobin and explain the situation and Julie refers me to Hamilton. Hamilton is not answering their phone when I called. Tobin calls me back to tell me the couch is in one piece and the delivery crew will bring the couch back to their warehouse, and work with Hamilton on the issue. I then call my wife, who tells me the crew at the house has taken the couch apart and is putting it back together in our basement, just like we thought they would do when we set up the delivery. Apparently the "Julie" we spoke to was either not informed or making stuff up for me. Couch is assembled in my basement as planned but the one delivery guy tells my wife that what the crew did was 150 dollars worth of work and is very unhappy. All I can say is this man is very luck I was not at the house when he attempted to extort 150 bucks from my 5 foot, 100 pound wife. My wife did not pay the crew any money, as delivery and assembly was paid for at point of sale. This company appears to be a bunch of ass clowns. Further I would enjoy an opportunity to chat one on one with the man who attempted to get 150 bucks from my wife as he left my home.

I can definitely say, if I have something delivered I will check to make certain they are not the delivery service providers. I had a shed delivered to my parent's home today. I called the day before to ask if it could be delivered to the driveway in back instead of the front porch. I spoke to steve, he assured it would be okay to do. The drivers delivered the heavy package to -you guessed it- the front porch. They left the package then rang the doorbell. By time my dad got downstairs to answer they were in the truck. I tried calling the three contact numbers for the companies in the chain that made this delivery possible - Sears online, Wayfair and Tobin. At the end of the day no one was willing to satisfy me (the customer). I will never place another order with Sears online when they use Wayfair as a provider and Tobin as a delivery service. They lied to Wayfair and said there were no requests stating we wanted it delivered to the back of the house, when in fact the request was made the day before. The only other recourse was to return the item and it would have cost me $102. Now why should I pay for that? I decided to keep it and get it moved to the rear of the home.

Wayfair contracted with Tobin to deliver two bathroom vanities. After reading their previous reviews, I was concerned. But I had a good experience setting up the delivery date with the office staff and the delivery crew was early, friendly and careful of my merchandise and my home.

I cannot say enough nice things about the two gentlemen who delivered my mattress and boxsprings today! They were so warm and professional and gave us impeccable and quick service! We are grateful for their attention to detail and care in our house as well!
