Really disappointed with this company and their service. We moved from a one bedroom condo to a single family home with storage in between. Upon delivery, we had several items of damaged furniture and multiple boxes that had been stored improperly. Boxes clearly labeled “fragile” had been completely crushed by heavy items, and a plastic box appears to have been tossed around, causing the clip-on lid to come off and the fragile ornaments inside to be crushed. The movers didn’t have the decency to put the broken pieces back, so my childhood Christmas decorations can’t even be pieced back together. We had custom engraved champagne flutes from our wedding that were crushed as well. We purchased the additional insurance that provided no coverage at all, as the damage was deemed too little to exceed the deductible. The claim process took me hours to complete as I had to research for purchase receipts from years prior, and in the end, we received little compensation. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I understand that accidents happen and a box or two might incur some damage, but we had almost all furniture (4 separate large items) come back with a dent or a scratch, and multiple fragile boxes with contents destroyed. Their complete lack of care and disregard for people’s items is evident. It’s a clear pattern of significant damage and poor service.

From my first email, to their introductory call, reminder emails, tips and tricks for moving, and, of course, the move itself, Maison folks were extremely helpful, informative, and pleasant to work with. Although our temporary move into storage was known for a long time, I waited a bit long to reserve my team. Not a problem for Maison. They came prepared to work. We were mostly done packing (but not completely) and the guys pitched in for the assist. If I ever move again (back from storage to the house), I'm calling Maison. You should, too. Five stars does not do this company justice.

I would highly recommend Maison Moving. The weekend before my move, I hired another moving company with a cheaper hourly rate to move my girlfriend from her house. That was a big mistake on my part. They worked 40% slower, didn’t have the needed equipment and damaged my flooring and furniture. What should have been finished by 5:00 took until 10:00. At the end of the move, the cost of moving with Maison Moving was less expensive and better service. The crew they sent out, Robert, Gilbert and Buddy were great!

This is a great moving company! Very professional business in terms of communication, invoices and moving methods. Please invest in the minimal insurance that is 75$ additional to be safe. We had one small break on an old cheap dresser so I wasn’t worried. But if you have big dollar items it’s better to invest in the insurance. Only reason for the 4 stars was the guys were late by 1 hour.
