The final cost ended up being higher than what Tommy originally quoted. Although Tommy was helpful and courteous initially, I haven't been able to reach him since the move. It seems Tommy tells you what you want to hear to secure the sale. I tried to address a discrepancy where Zach claimed I had more items than listed on the inventory sheet. I had two extra boxes that I said I would transport myself, but Zach insisted on charging me an additional $500 and also made me pay $700 for a shuttle service I didn’t need. In the end, I paid $800 more than the original quote, which was not within my budget. On a positive note, the actual movers were very polite and hardworking, and I made sure to tip them for their excellent service. However, be prepared for unexpected costs beyond Tommy’s initial estimate and be cautious of potential upselling. As a young woman, I felt intimidated by Zach’s demeanor and his uncooperative attitude when I tried to resolve the issue. Additionally, my TV, which Tommy had assured would be moved for free, was left behind. Overall, while the moving process was quick, the lack of transparency and the unpleasant behavior of some staff members were significant drawbacks. I understand that moving companies can vary, and their efficiency did impact my rating positively.
