Worst experience from start to finish! I rented a U-Haul for a piece of furniture I purchased. When I picked up the truck, the side view mirror was broken in 3 places and couldn’t be adjusted. When I arrived at my pickup destination, the driver side door fell off the hinges. I called roadside assistance who advised me that I could drive the truck if I could get the door to close and lock. While driving the truck, the gas needle moved back and forth and only 1 headlight worked. Before returning, I tried to get gas only to find that the gas cap was broken and wouldn’t come off. Once at the return location, I was told my truck couldn’t be checked in because I was given someone else’s rental agreement. I have spoken to several people about this whole incident and was offered a partial refund because I chose to drive the truck even after knowing all the issues. Was I suppose to pull over and wait for a new truck after each issue popped up? Very disappointed in how U-Haul has handled this situation.

It is not often in this busy world that you receive excellent in person customer service. From the easy reserving of a truck online to walking in to their office and having the truck already pulled up clean and ready to go, everything was absolutely five star customer service. You can tell that the owners of this company really care and they were present and pleasant and wanting to make your day better. Honestly, if you’re running a U-Haul, your day is already stressful enough so the fact that, the owners were professionals just made a hard day a little easier.

Travis and the crew made my move a breeze. It’s safe to say, no matter what, moving sucks. It’s hot, everything that can go wrong most always inevitably does. But not my truck. Booking process was smooth, truck was available and ready as promised, and they had supplies on hand that I had completely forgotten about to help me out. Quick checkout process so I could get through all the suckiness. Moving sucks, but if anything can be made easier, that’s incredible, and that’s what Travis did for me and my move. Thank you!

I wouldn’t recommend this place. I came in at 7:40 am to pick up a 15’ truck through the app, and this was the only option because the store was physically open. On the website, it said I had an hour window time frame to pick up the truck, and I scheduled it for 7:30 am pickup. However when I arrived, the app said there was no truck reserved for me. At this point, I was somewhat upset, but I called the helpline and after waiting for 15 minutes they hung up on me. I will say, Michael, one of the employees at the King Street UHaul Location was amazing. I was incredible upset and frustrated because I had movers waiting on me, and Michael understood my situation and explained it patiently. He did a great job of deescalating the situation, and he explained I needed to be there to pick it up on time, despite what the app said. Again, Michael turned this situation around for me and even though I wouldn’t recommend this location, the workers are patient and kind
