I booked my rental in advance online , when I arrived it was not at the location , then I waited around for another truck and they could not find the key. Finally after 45 minutes of waiting I was given a truck that was still dirty from the renter before then it was on E and the back of the truck had a ripped bag with no equipment. I did not ask to rent equipment but at least the truck could have been cleaned out. This was my second time at this U-Haul and will most certainly be my last . I would not recommend 29th st Harrisburg PA U-Haul at all especially if you’re on a time crunch.

I have rented from this location several times and every female associate who has “helped” me over the years has lacked customer service skills. The gentleman that helped me this last time was amazing but as he was helping me, a female associate got an immediate attitude with another customer because of a language barrier. My overall experience at this location is not good at all because THAT RIGHT THERE is my typical experience. Most of the customer service reps, lack customer service skills. You really need to tighten up at this location.

The truck was in good repair and it was easy to locate the truck, get the keys and get on the road! Drop off was a snap as well. I don’t particularly have any memories of things being specifically bad when I have rented in the past but things seem more streamlined now. Overall everything top to bottom provided for a better experience.

I ordered moving supplies (boxes, tape, bubble wrap, wrapping paper) ahead of time online. When I arrived the line was moving incredibly slowly for such a minimal amount of people in the lobby. The associate, albeit friendly, informed me that my order was not ready and that I was welcome to fulfill the order myself. The only redeeming quality about this visit was that the associate helped to find the items in my order on the spot. Ultimately, I did not order online for convenience just to have to pull my own order in person and without an appropriate cart. I was not looking to haul out boxes by hand when I paid for the order to be prepared in advance.

I rent it a lot of U-Haul‘s in my life and had excellent experience but this U-Haul place by far is the worst no respect they hang up on you. I pay for one-way they called me and asked if I could bring the U-Haul back and they will give me a credit so I told them yes I can do that. When I got back, they tried charging me for the total mileage. I drove plus driving the truck back I said how are y’all going to charge me to drive the truck back when y’all asked me to bring it back you can not charge me for mileage. Y’all asked me to bring it back. I must admit it’s some very uneducated people there. This is not the one for you to be renting from. Please stay away they will rip you off.
