I don’t leave negative reviews, but please save yourself grief and go with a reputable company that truly cares. I am beyond disappointed. To start, it was a positive experience when speaking with Allan and going through the details and the estimated cost. Allan was very professional. I felt at the start, it was a positive experience. Fast forward to the move date. The company “United Trust Van Lines” contracts out, the movers will call a day before and give you a window when they will pick up your things (you can’t plan, beware). Upon arrival, it was off putting, I was told that I could use a credit card to make the first installment. This is not the case, they will offer Zelle or cash payment (Zelle wasn’t working). It was too late to say no. I paid in cash and took a photo of the contract stating I paid in cash and the specific amount. The movers also increased my estimate on the day of the move (very frustrating and very sketchy paying in cash), but I was moving from the west coast to the east coast, so I didn’t have much choice given I was backed into a corner. I will give the movers credit when picking up my items, they packed their moving truck well and appeared to handle my items with care. My move date was June 13th, my items did not arrive until July 19th. This company will not communicate with you, there is no way to track your items. Every time I called, which was once a week, I felt I was a bother and I was told they would get back to me later that day or in a few days since the ETA was not clear. I’m a very understanding person, but I feel I was taken advantage of. My items were packed into a regular U-Haul type moving truck upon pickup, but on delivery, my items arrived on a Semi. The driver (Calvin) was very kind and very hardworking, but unloaded all of my items with no help from a second mover (I was informed someone was coming, but they never showed). When I saw how my items were packed in the Semi, I was taken back by the careless, thrown together and disorganized fashion. Some of my items were damaged. Again, I’m very disappointed. Do not put your trust into this company. I honestly hope they change and do better for future customers. Please consider other options, I wish I did.

Washington to New Mexico. I strongly advise against using this company. When the movers got to my place they increased the quote (from 6k to 10k) and the mover thought he was doing me favor by decreasing it by 300 bucks. The advisor stopped responding after the deposit was made. The packers did minimal packing material that goods were just in a box without any padding and a lot of damage and scratches. The good smelled like they were stored in cow manure. Despite giving ample lead time the delivery was late. The delivery driver was young kid who unloaded the truck all by himself and no help (driver was truly hard working kid). The unpacking…well dumping things all over was not helpful. BEWARE “united trust van lines” come up when you google United Van lines (I hired the wrong company from the start and suffered for it). 13 moves in last 10 year and this by far was the worst.

Never hire these people, they have broken my utensils, also there is no idea where your things are, they even lost my things finally they were able to get it back, once you make the payment tbey dont care for you. I got my things after 11 days of picking up, until then i had no clue ehere it is, or is it coming or not, the crew is very rude, they initially said that i can make the payment by credit card,. After the initial payment, they started insisting they need cash, finally they agreed for zelle, when their zelle was not working they threatened saying they are going to charge me for making them wait as i didnt have cash and i had to go to atm, more over they have a lot of hidden charges, everything goes by what is written so please read each and every word in the contract before you sign, i booked tbe moving for 2000 usd finally i had to pay 2300 usd, till now i haven't received the final payment receipt. Which i need and i clearly mentioned when i booked the moving. Also one fine day i got a call from simple movers i have no clue who they are but thdy know all my details, so you dont know where your data is going, when the truck reached i came to know united gave to simple and they finally gave to another 3rd party for actual moving, if you need more headache choose united.

We had lots of things destroyed. The 60 cents per pound insurance that comes standard on the contract is a joke. Try replacing a tv (that they packed, shipped and crushed) for that. It will cost me more to properly dispose of the tv than they gave me for it.
