Upscale movers were the company working with the broker company that I booked through. They charged more than the other company quoted me, and a lot of my stuff was damaged through their moving company. When, I finally got a hold of someone and they sent me a claims form, and when we sent it back with photos at least over a month ago I still have heard no communication to if they have received it or not. Or what they will be covering in the damages. It was not a very professional company, because they don’t answer calls or call you back. My plastic rubbermaid bins were broken and boxes were smashed in their storage.

Im not even sure what to say. First off when they came to pick up my stuff it was done in such a rush that the important screws of my bed were left all over the floor after they left. If I hadn’t taken the time to make sure I would have thrown them away or my dog would have stepped on them. Second was getting the contract they had me sign. I called multiple times and kept hearing “we sent you an email.” Well no email was in my inbox so I had to have it texted to me. The third thing: they knew my address the day they picked up. So imagine my surprise when someone calls me the day before my drop off that an 18 wheeler may not be able to fit through my development and that a $750 redelivery fee would be added. You had my address so why wait till the day before to even google search it? Needless to say I was able to work with my leasing office and they helped me figure out a solution. Next they get here and when they walk up, notify me ma’am we need to charge you $75 bucks per flight of stairs. When I’ve previously moved, the stairs when dropping off was not a problem. So they charged me $150 for a long haul fee (20 steps give or take from my townhouse to the truck). The final nail to the situation: my boxes looked like they went through war. I understand boxes getting dented but some of them were crushed. I immediately started worry about my furniture/ tv. That’s when I saw it… my IKEA bedframe with storage was ruined. The storage shelves were broken in half in some places and the headboard has cracks and missing pieces of wood. I asked the driver to bolt the headboard to the wall (as it’s a safety issue) and was told no I won’t do it. So now my bedframe that I’ve had for less than a year is broken. Not to mention I packed with a lot of bubble wrap and still some of the things I had packed were broken. Overall, highly shady way of doing business. I’ve submitted a claim and have yet to hear. I also have called asking to speak to a manager/owner as this was a hot mess from start to finish, but half of me doesn’t even want to fight it because I’m just over it. To the manager/owner: if a customer pays you good money, please treat their belongings with as much care as you would like us to treat you. I feel highly taken advantage of and this is a level of unprofessionalism I never wanted to witness. Customers: look elsewhere. Look for an actual moving company and not a broker who sells your move to a smaller company.

Whatever you read or see about this company being good is a lie. This is probably the worst moving company I've experienced from lost bolts and screws to multiple large items being broken with zero reimbursement it just gets worse and worse. The customer service is non existent with them dodging calls and lying to you when they tell you they will call back at certain times or even within weeks. I was told the movers would take at most 4 days to move my stuff but in reality it took a month of sleeping on couches waiting for it and even when the actual truck showed up at 11:30PM at night with just one person and him telling me that I would have to help him or I wouldn't be getting my stuff they still will not even try to help. Please if you're moving go to a different company.

Excellent experience working with Tito & his team at Upscale Moving. Professionalism and efficiency were terrific. None of our items were damaged except for one flimsy piece from target that never had a chance. Prices are very reasonable, but make sure to be diligent when marking your full inventory of items to be moved or you will be upcharged albeit reasonably fairly. I would use this same moving company again or happily recommend it to others.

This moving company was a blessing! We’re glad we followed the recommendation of a friend…these guys certainly took a load off our backs, our relocation from Connecticut to Long Island, NY was stressful as to logistic but the actual moving was a breeze thanks to the knowledge and experience of this company. I can’t recommend them enough, good job! 👍
