I usually don't leave 1-star reviews, but I had the absolute worst experience with this rental car company recently and feel compelled to warn others. After reading other reviews, I discovered that many Google reviewers have had similar terrible experiences. The positive reviews are mostly from new accounts, which seems suspicious. The company is listed as U-Save Car Rental but also operates under the name Green Motion Car Rental. If you rent a car through Expedia and see Green Motion, be aware that it's the same company—avoid them at all costs. I rented a car for two days to travel comfortably with my young daughter. Despite prepaying for the rental (C$129 for 2 days), they demanded an additional insurance fee of over $50 usd per day at pickup. They refused to accept my existing insurance coverage through my credit card, insisting I had to buy their insurance, claiming the car's value was over $40,000 (it was a basic model Toyota Corolla, which starts at around $25,000). When I argued that this was outrageous, they told me to leave if I didn't like it. I ended up paying three times the original amount due to their unnecessary insurance charges. The staff was extremely unfriendly and even mocked me behind my back when I complained. My daughter was exhausted from a 10-hour flight, and we had no choice but to accept their outrageous terms. The company remained unhelpful and rude throughout the entire process, from receiving the keys to getting the car. They promised to explain the car's features but never did, leaving me with a terrible start to my trip. Expedia should reconsider their partnership with this company to avoid damaging their reputation. If you're thinking of renting from Green Motion Car Rental, know that they are the same as U-Save Car Rental and steer clear of them. Save yourself the trouble and find another rental car company.

If I could leave zero stars I would. This is the most unprofessional, unorganized, apathetic, and chaotic rental car business I've ever rented from. If there is an appropriate authority to report them to they need to be sought out and reported. They find any possible loophole to SCAM you out of more money that was clearly not stated in any information upfront. And if it was, it was put in a place where you intentionally could not see it. Do not walk RUN to a different place. The employees are rude and don't care one iota that you are waiting for extended periods of time to get your car. Absolutely awful. And it can't be overstated. ⭐ Update: I just read Allen Chung's review. This is VERY accurate and matched what I experienced. And with their track record being as awful as it is. I would not be surprised if the positive reviews they do have are all paid for to try to mask how deplorable and despicable their shady business practices are. No way they deserve to be anywhere in the universe of 3 stars. People should be protesting to shut this place down.
