DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!
They moved me from NYC to Florida and it took them 4 months to deliver my belongings and then another 4 months to finally retrieve my missing white marble table - the most expensive item I own. They just lost it... but miraculously found it 8 months after I moved.
Additionally they DESTROYED every single dish I had received from my wedding that I had saved for years, for the time that I moved - GONE. Dozens of picture frames and fragile goods were completely smashed and about 10 boxes were delivered completely smashed and flattened as if there was NO REGARD whatsoever that the boxes were fragile.
They smashed my 55" new Sony TV and lost about 6 boxes that I have still, after 1 year, have never recovered. After being left with no choice except to keep contacting them every 3-4 weeks, after 10 months, they simply stopped returning my calls and have never paid me 1 dime of the money they owe me for all my losses.
YOU HAVE BEEN FOREWARNED. DO NOT USE THEM. Sure you think they're good if there aren't any problems, but If they lose or break anything of your's you will never recover a cent!! WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER

Do not use this company under any circumstances! They lie, steal and lose your items. I used them for a move and storage as I was downsizing. They were late, very slow, complained constantly and came in WAY over estimate. The worse part though was when I had a future move and needed to get my things from storage. They were extremely angry and rude to me because I chose a different moving company. They did not deliver all of my stored goods to the other moving company. This was proven by the list of stored items compared with the list of delivered items. Sadly, a stunning french antique settee and a box of my grandmothers china were not delivered. Vangogh refused calls, denied acceptance of registered letters and both vangogh and their insurance company refused to honor insurance policy. They are scam artists and should not be trusted under any circumstances. I would give a zero star review if possible. Save yourself a lot of money and the hassles of a lawsuit and protect your hard earned valuables.

Poor. Beware. Once Van Gogh thinks the job is ‘done’, they’re done - and don’t care about the state they leave you in.
Before the move, it was all kittens and lollipops but once things went wrong, Van Gogh left us without even a smack on the butt. So good luck if you use them. We won’t, ever again.
Below is an abridged version of a letter we wrote to Van Gogh a few days after the move. (Examples of poor work and damage to valuable property excised, no need to mention one of the movers told me he was hung over; this is Van Gogh lite.) I asked that it be forwarded to a supervisor and company head. If it was, it was ignored. And that’s a pretty fitting indicator of how much they seem to care. Beware.
I write this letter to express my dissatisfaction with the services provided by Van Gogh on July 24, 2019.
Van Gogh was contracted to move our possessions between two locations in Brooklyn, NY.
The team of four movers packed, transported the packed items to their truck … and brought boxes and furniture into the destination apartment.
There was some damage (fresh paint was badly scraped in an attempt to put a desk in an office; the response from the foreman was a shrug) and
during unpacking it became clear that many dozens of books were missing. I told Cookie [at Van Gogh] the next day that at least one box (a milk crate) was missing. One of the movers, Dale, told her he clearly remembered putting it [the missing milk crate] on the moving truck and delivering it to the new apartment. I told her no milk crate was received but my protestations proved futile.
My wife returned to the old apartment and found that Van Gogh failed to take three(!) large crates of books, including the one milk crate. They just left them behind.
I called Cookie immediately to tell her that the missing box-es(!) had been located and indeed the milk crate had not been put onto the truck and delivered (as Dale warranted). The response was “Thanks for letting me know” and the phone put down.
We have received no apology, no acknowledgment that Van Gogh failed to complete the contracted agreement and no attempt or offer to help arrange the delivery of the approximate 100 pounds of books Van Gogh neglected to move.
Find someone else to move your items, someone who cares, someone not hung over, someone who takes everything and won’t scratch your walls and won’t drop your vinyl records on the ground.

In early 2018 my family and I hired Van Gogh movers to move from a single family home (where we lived for 20+ years) to a nearby townhouse. This included dropping off several furniture items and boxes at two different storage locations. As you can imagine, a move of this size and complexity requires precision and well experienced movers.
After meeting with several potential movers we elected to hire Van Gogh. While on the more expensive side, we were impressed that the owner, Jimmy, estimated the move to take only nine to ten hours , which included the two stops to storage after the initial stop at our townhouse to unload the truck and continue on to the two storage locations. Needless to say, based on my 1 star rating, we experienced several issues with Van Gogh. However, the most disappointing of which was 1) Van Gogh did not honor (or even come close) to the timeline and price outlined in their quote and 2) the number of items that went missing.
Day 1 begin at 9am and did not end until 2am. At 17 hours on the first day we were already well beyond the estimated hours Jimmy quoted it would be. The second day begin at 10am and ended at approximately 4pm A total of approximately fourteen hours over the originally estimated hours he quoted. The final bill equated to well beyond the original quote .
When the estimate was initially calculated, it factored in having Van Gogh pack up the clothing hanging in our closets as they have re-usable wardrobe boxes available. Everything that I packed before the movers arrived (pots, pans, dishes etc.) arrived to our destination. However, the closet items that were packed by the movers (including the contents of our dressers which Jimmy initially misinformed us they did not need to be emptied), did not all arrive to their final destinations. Interestingly, the missing items include some of my more expensive and meaningful items: a Burberry jacket,a new BCBG dress, two new Lucky Brand items, a new pair of 3X1 jeans a brand new AG denim skirt and a Louis Vuitton wallet (just to mention a few).
When I called to tell Jimmy about the missing items his response was "they must be somewhere," and he offered to have some of the movers come and help me look in one of the storage units. To their credit, they did assist with this. However, not surprisingly, the items were not there. From there, he offered to set up another date/time to help us search the second storage unit. Over the last several weeks I have left four messages with his office however I have not heard back from him. While I’m fairly confident I will never recover the items, its very disappointing that he is not following through on his offer.
In summary, I will not be using Van Gogh movers again and I would never recommend them to anyone else unless you are looking to be disrespected, have valuables lost and get ripped off. Such a disappointment.

I used them 4 times within 4 years and it got worse every time. I referred them to my friends as well and they had horrible experiences with them. My last time they tried to add a parking ticket to the bill, when I told them to go to the truck and get the ticket they told me it flew away and took it off the bill. I reached out to Jimmy to tell him what a horrible experience I had and he never even bothered to respond to my email. I'm moving again at the end of the month and will never use them again. Terrible customer service.
