From the time they cane and picked up the items until drop off this company is a mess. Once they arrived they charged an addt’l $600 for a lamp and vacuum. 9 later had not heard from them on when my things would arrive. Left two messages. Driver finally calls says loading your things and will be there tomorrow. I text him the next day like what time should I expect you and he says it will be another day. To top it off they were doing cartwheels in my parking lot.

I was so grateful for this after being told it was not possible by all of the other moving companies I called for a same day move. A team of four professional movers showed up early and worked quickly the entire time. They came with ample materials to keep all of my belongings safe and truly were a hard working and efficient team. I would not have been able to move out of my apartment so quickly without them. I was so thankful they were able to make me fit into their schedule on a busy Saturday. I hired them for a local move and was kept informed of all parts of the process along the way. I contacted VDMD to move my mother last month. I couldn't be happier with our moving experience. I first spoke to Priscilla to set everything up. She quoted me a more than fair price, answered every possible question and coordinated all details involving size of trucks and number of movers needed. Over the coming weeks before the move she responded promptly to all calls and emails with a friendly and knowledgeable demeanor. On the day of the move, the movers arrived at 7 am, our specified time was between 7 am and 8 am. As soon as they arrived they went straight to work! Eduardo and his crew were courteous and careful with all my mother's belongings. Everything was expertly wrapped and packed quickly and efficiently. At the new house they reassembled and unloaded everything to perfection. They even finished early and took money off the quoted price! For anyone looking to move in the Maryland/DC area, I highly recommend VDMD!

I was very impressed with this company from the moment I spoke to Priscilla and her care and attention to the movers themselves. They took the time to familiarize themselves with my needs. They even made 2 stops along the way at my kids houses to drop off items. They took great care to assure the safety of my belongings and worked nonstop. I don't think I can properly articulate fully how awful working with this company was. I know that they are cheap, but, believe me, you get what you pay for here. I should've known that things were going to go poorly from the get-go when their movers locked their keys in their truck and took a half hour to fish the door open with a coat hanger. Their employees blamed us for their own faults on multiple occasions, telling us damages and missing parts occurred outside of their knowledge. Additionally, we were pressured to sign the document saying everything was undamaged and accounted for and pay them before they finished bringing our items into our new place. This was a major issue because they forgot to deliver two components. They literally just did not re-pack them into the truck after removing them from storage in between pick-up and delivery. At this point, they strung us along for over two months, telling the broker a number of lies including that we were liable for the parts, that we had submitted a claim and they no longer had to deliver them, and that they had already delivered the parts and didn't know why we were complaining. To say that their communication was inadequate and unprofessional is a drastic understatement. Don't give these people your business - it just isn't worth the headache.
