Wetzel & Sons Moving & Storage INC Info | Compare Moving Quotes

We hired Wetzel & Sons to move a large custom furniture piece into our condo unit. The piece was a ~200lbs custom lacquer finished console table with mitered corners and a thin reveal at each corner. We have video footage of them resting the entire weight of the unit on one edge, with the only protection being from a blanket, resulting in irreparable damage to the corner. This is precisely what NOT to be done when moving a piece like this, something we expected a company that claims to have 40+ years of experience with high end moving to understand. It took them almost a month to respond, and when they did, they flat out lied that the piece was "always on a dolly" when in fact, the video footage showed otherwise. The only reason they responded after so long was because we informed our condo building (with Wetzel & Sons in copy) about the mishap, as we would never want something like this to happen to anyone else in our building. This was a beautiful custom piece made in Italy that took months to craft and arrive. Their response to was to lie and offer the bare minimum ($0.60 per pound!!). BE AWARE. This company is not to be trusted and will lie in the face of clear video evidence. Looks like their service has gone significantly downhill over the past few years. They should change their name to Weasel & Sons.

Wetzel and Sons moving are better than advertised. They showed up on time and ready to move me from Hollywood to Irvine. 4 movers showed up. Fernando, Adam, Juan and Edgar and I left and trusted them with all my possessions the moment they arrived. I had over 40 pieces of art that they packed and delivered to me in perfect condition. They moved an entire two bedroom apartment in one day and set it up for me when I arrived at my new place. They even put pads under my furniture to protect my new wood floors that I hadn't even considered. They were pleasant, professional and friendly. Once they delivered my furniture to my new apartment, they stayed to make sure that everything was placed in an orderly fashion and with my approval. They even hung up my 65'' TV even though that wasn't discussed. I had accidentally left my kitchen dishes in the cabinets at my old place and they saw them and wrapped and delivered them. To say they over delivered is an understatement. I will highly recommend Wetzel and Sons moving company to anyone who is looking for the perfect move. They took a very stressful move and made it worry free. Thanks Wetzel and Sons.

Horrible experience. Family had used them before, this time a NIGHTMARE!!! Lost things. Broke things. Delivered our personal items from storage to a rental house we no longer lived in and that was sold. Our belongings sold with house and disappeared!!! Paid quote that included insurance in advance - during move given piece of paper to initial and sign that denied insurance. So now they refuse to compensate us for the thousands upon thousands of our personal belongings that they lost. Completely incompetent. Totally negligent. Try Russell instead. Wetzel is TERRIBLE and they conduct shady business practices!! ***** Update - NEVER contacted to resolve issues as they pretend to say… That’s in keeping with the experience we had. And by the way, they ARE NOT a family owned business anymore. CORPORATE and all that implies!

We've moved many times over the last 35 years, and the Wetzel movers are by far the very best moving company we've used. Our movers, Edwin and Clever, were outstanding - they were extraordinarily careful, helpful, courteous and friendly -- they really couldn't have been better. As far as we're concerned, there's no better moving company!

My experience was with one of your employees who stole from me. Maybe not much....pampered chef platters etc, various kitchen items missing, Kirby Vacuum, various Christmas decor...am still going through. I should have known better since he was terminated for stealing commission checks from Time Warner. Who knows about your company. I challenge Luis Martinez to sue me if what I say is a lie. I can provide legal documents and chara ter referenecs. All he had to do was return my property.
