Williamsport Moving Company did an outstanding service. Jack (Owner) and his crew are great people. We have some large furniture and they had no problem moving everything. The crew were very professional and courteous. As soon as they entered our home each of them introduced themself. They moved at a very high speed and made things look easy. We would highly recommend this company. You can’t go wrong with hiring this company. Nice job everyone!! Thanks for your hard work.

We moved during the pandemic. I was EXTREMELY pleased with the service we received from Williamsport Moving. The price was very fair and Mike/Jack were especially accommodating with several last minute changes in the moving date and details on my part. The moving crew were GREAT! They were very careful with our belongings, professional and pleasant. They certainly went above and beyond to get us into our new home. They took extra precautions due to the need for social distancing as well. Thank you!

This review is a couple weeks past due. I have never had to use a moving service before, but this company met and exceeded every expectation I had. Showed up on time/early for a walk through and jumped right to work. The 3 guys that showed up were the perfect mix of professional and polite. Completed the job in under the quoted time. We bought lunch, tipped and I still feel like it wasn't enough. Highly recommended.

If I hadn’t lived it, I might not believe it. For a move across multiple state lines, we chose to pack and drive ourselves. All we needed was help to load two large moving trucks from 2 households (my 70 year old mom is relocating with us and I’m 32 weeks pregnant). Having used Williamsport Moving Company on a previous move a cross town we decided to contract with them again. On the morning we scheduled to load the trucks, less than 24 hours before closing on the sale of the house and needing to be out, they told us that we never officially confirmed our reservation and so without notifying us, they cancelled our reservation. We didn’t even know that our plans were not “confirmed”, thinking multiple emails, phone calls, meeting in person with the surveyor TWICE, setting a date, time and plan for crew size was all reason to think we were all set. In speaking with two different agents on the day we planned to move, our desperation was met with a complete lack of sympathy. One agent accused us of “only being concerned with money” and placing all the blame on us for missing “the last line in an email that stated ‘We hope to hear back from you’”. Which we were supposed to understand means: YOUR RESERVATION IS NOT CONFIRMED. If only they had called to check before canceling our reservation or even shown a little compassion, it would have made all the difference. They were unable to help in any way other than to tell is to call another moving company. CUSTOMER BEWARE: if you chose to hire this company make sure that you are officially confirmed and that Williamsport Moving Company confirms that you are confirmed. Also, be prepared to receive all the blame for anything that goes wrong. I am, however, grateful to them for suggesting Roan’s Mayflower who were able to come within an hour and quite literally rescue us from an extremely difficult situation and do a fantastic job.

From the beginning, I had a bad feeling about using this company. The very first call I made to Jack McKernan -- the President and General Manager of WMC -- was lackluster all around. His tone of voice suggested he would rather walk into traffic than speak to me, and it did not improve over the consecutive phone conversations we shared. We scheduled a visit with him so he could quote us for the quick move from our house to a storage unit. He arrived on time, but when I exited my home and said 'good morning, Jack!' all I received was a flat stare in response. He once again gave the very distinct impression that he did not want to be there. My overall impression of this company is that they do not want business, but we'll get to that shortly. Before he even entered my home, I warned him that it was in a state of disarray due to being in the middle of packing. Again, he said absolutely nothing. By now, everything was already uncomfortable and awkward, so I tried my best to explain what was being stored as succinctly as possible -- at that point I just wanted him out of my house -- and the visit ended. Later that afternoon, Jack called me back to report that "we can't do your job, we just have so much business right now and unless an extreme clean up happens on your part, my guys will just get in the truck and go home when they show up." Honestly, it was no skin off my back because I had already decided to get an estimate and had done a tour with another moving company earlier on simply because of Jack's singularly awful customer service. So, to paraphrase: 1.) Truly horrific customer service. I sincerely hope Jack doesn't speak to all of his customers in the same way he spoke to me. 2.) Total lack of regard for anything I said about how our packing process was going. His lack of simple logic lead to him losing out on my business and this negative review. 3.) Honestly, I'm not sure he heard a thing I said to him the entire time other than the address. He simply refused to engage with me on a basic human level. I should have gone with my gut instinct and not wasted my time, or Jack's time, and you should too, because Jack will definitely make you feel like you're wasting his time. Do not use Williamsport Moving Company. Find someone else with better people skills and better understanding of how the moving process looks in various stages.
